I’ve always been fascinated with the idea of living life abundantly. Finding abundant life — how it works and what it looks like — has been a journey of discovery for me.
One of my greatest joys is sharing what I have learned along the way. I have worn many hats: wife, mother, counselor, pastor’s wife, speaker, writer, and friend—all of which have enriched my life and taught me many lessons.
One of my favorite scriptures about living life fully is Ecc. 5:18. “After looking at the way things are on this earth, here’s what I’ve decided is the best way to live: Take care of yourself, have a good time, and make the most of whatever job you have for as long as God gives you life.
And that’s about it.”
I have a Master’s Degree in Counseling/Psychology and am a licensed therapist (LPC). I have been meeting with clients with a variety of issues for over 20 years. I have considerable experience working with individual, marriage and family issues.
I approach counseling as a facilitator, helping clients to define their needs and assisting them in moving towards their goals in positive ways. I only accept clients whom I believe have the capacity to resolve their own problems with my assistance. I approach counseling from a cognitive behavioral (CBT) framework influenced by systems therapy.
For clients who are geographically distant, I also provide e-counseling.
